How Does a Virtual Pediatric Sleep Consultant Work?
A virtual pediatric sleep consultant assesses your baby’s sleep through an intake questionnaire and a video call, writes a customized plan, and supports you by message or call through the nights you implement it. Virtual works as well as in-person, often better, because the hard part isn’t the plan — it’s the follow-through across days and nights.
Here’s what working together actually looks like at Rested Little.
Before we meet, you fill out an intake covering your baby’s schedule, sleep history, feeding, health, temperament, room setup, and — just as importantly — what you’re comfortable with. There’s no method I apply to everyone.
On our call, we go through it together and I explain the why behind every recommendation. You’ll leave understanding your baby’s sleep, not just holding instructions.
Your written plan covers schedule and wake windows, bedtime routine, the specific method we chose, night waking response, naps, and night feeds if they apply. It’s yours to keep.
Then the support. This is the part that determines whether it works. Depending on your package, you have me for two to four weeks of check-ins while you’re in it.
Rested Little is based in Skokie, IL. I work with families across the Chicago area — Skokie, Evanston, Wilmette, Niles, Morton Grove, Lincolnwood, Glenview, and Park Ridge — and virtually with families anywhere in the United States and Latin America. Consultations are available in English and in Spanish, which matters more than people expect: a plan you can only half-follow because it’s in your second language isn’t a plan.
I’m certified through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management (CPSM) and I work with babies and toddlers from 4 to 36 months using responsive, evidence-based methods — not just cry-it-out.
Every family starts with a free discovery call, so you can see whether this is right for you before you commit to anything.
